Poem for Sunday Whirl #102

Thanks, Brenda, for another fine Wordle prompt!

a humpback moon flows
over powdered peaks
unlocking shadows
from ancient pitted stones

fragile petals cling
to a staff of cane
lost souls call out

love is written but not read
and while she walks alone
the humpback moon
draws night from stone

The most poignant line:

"Love is written but not read"

Awhirl with Richard Wright

Evocative words of loss and hope. I think so many times we bring forth dreams in our writing.

Thanks for stopping by with a comment at my place. xo
