W for ABC Wednesday

ABC WEDNESDAY ROUND 7: Wassail on our Wednesday

Waffle.
A pancake-like concoction constructed with syrup-trapping squares and enough tread to keep whipped cream from slipping off (don't check Wikipedia for this because I made it up).

I can't find my waffle maker and probably wouldn't use it anyway so I've chosen 'waffle' to mean riding the fence while trying not to warp off the wrong side.

At this strange time in life, I've found it wiser to avoid decision-making in the widest sense of the word and to allow myself to waffle along in the moment, no matter that wisdom might dictate otherwise.

Whose side are you on? Do you ever have to take sides? Would you prefer to waffle?

I cannot waffle around this matter but I fail to make up my mind and I must tell you that I love crispy waffles :)

Oh, I love waffles! These look delicious and I do believe I'm going to have to take a break and have something to eat -- a W snack or not!! Wishing you a very wonderful and Merry Christmas!

As a true Libran, I'm always on the fence! lol But I think I'd enjoy those waffles dripping in syrup and whipped cream! Might make a very nice Christmas morning breakfast. Have a very Merry Christmas! :D

I waffle about most things but definitely not when offered a waffle, I always say yes.

I simply can't waffle and still be sincere. So I usually exit the discussion. As for the other kind of waffle, I love them crispy on the outside with loads of butter and syrup. Couldn't tell you when I last had a waffle -- I really do try to avoid such buttery treats, I'm already far too overweight.

I vote DEFINITELY WAFFLES!
I like to make up my mind reasonably quickly; overthinking is otherwise too agonizing.

There is a lot of freedom to be found in waffling! ; )

I happen to live near Gouda, a place where waffles are made with syrop between two of them. In fact Gouda is famous for its waffles. If people start waffling after eating them? I don't know. In that case I suspect many politicians of eating them regularly.
Have a great week and a merry Christmas.

I definitely waffle! I can see all sides of every argument and don't like to give offence so I suppose I'm really a bit of a WIMP ;-)

As a woman in her early 50's, I do waffle more than I used to. I think that is because I try to think things through more and it easier for me to do that now that I'm older. In that regard, waffling is working for me! :-)

Thanks for comments on the Warhol post. I agree with you - he was never a GREAT artist but he was creative and part of his creativity is how he created himself.

Happy Solstice and anything else you may be celebrating this season!

I used to be a champion waffler. I've gotten better now that I've realized very few decisions are that important.

Thanks for your definition of a waffle. I don't use wiki but I'm guessing yours is far more fun than theirs.

Oh, I'm definitely a waffler - with or without syrup! I can't make a decision to save my life most days.

I love waffles and have also been known to waffle myself leaning this way and that although I'm always left leaning, LOL.

Frankly, I prefer to EAT my waffles, instead of waffling ~~~

I didn't have a Waffle Iron, and found one at my Thrift Shop for $2.99 and it's like brand new, and a nice namebrand too.

I love the smell of freshly made waffles but not really in love with the taste!

Waffles are delish. Waffling, ummmm...sometimes it works but usually a decision eventually must be made. It's taking the time to make the decision that's been the difference for me in recent past.

Happy Holidays Sue!
